Rounding Out the Summer…

We spent a few days away on Cape Cod enjoying our annual family vacation. Peanut spent every moment he could in the water!
It’s hard to imagine that it’s been four years of visiting this beach. Here are Peanut and I when he was only 3 months old.
We had a wonderful time visiting the beach every [...]

“Laughing through my tears…”

We’ve had a very busy week. Our best friends came into town. They’re Ladybugs Godparents so we had a lot to do in preperation of the big day.

There were trips for coffee, and BBQ supplies. Runs for yarn, book signings, wine and more yarn.

The evenings were filled with laughter, fun and MJ having the perfect [...]

Today…

May have been the most beautiful day of the entire summer!
Peanut was in the pool, Ladybug was keeping me company by the table. The weather was stunning. Hope you had a great day too!

Make a Wish…

Please visit my friend Lynn’s blog. She and her team are participating in a triathalon to benifit the Make a Wish Foundation. I’ve donated my $5 in hopes of winning a sweet prize (Hand spun yarn, hand dyed yarn, etc) and donated a custom skein of yarn to the prize pool as well. Won’t you [...]

I know I said I’d never…

I know I said I would never, ever, under any circumstances purchase a fleece that needed to be processed. I am aware that I have said it and at the time, I meant it. But today, I saw this. Kristin Nicholas, a friend and local knit designer had her annual sheering and is planning a [...]

And the Winner is…

President Elect Obama!
What an amazing time for our country! I am so proud and so hopeful for the future. I was very emotional as President Elect Obama addressed the crowd in Chicago on Tuesday. I really do think he will do amazing things for our country. It was so nice to see so many people [...]

On the Road Again…

I am on the road traveling in Worcester county this week. The last few days I’ve been in Worcester visiting a lot of private schools and having a great time talking about my alma mater. It’s a lot of fun to see so many young people as excited about the University as I once [...]

The Placings…

Not too shaby! Entered 6 items and placed in all 6 catagories. Third on my first adult cardigan the Wicked Cardi, second on my Foliage Hat, Shetland Triangle Shawl, Baby Surprise Cardigan, and my hand spun, and first on my Spring Forward Socks.

That makes three years running! I already have some thoughts on next year’s [...]

Laid Up…

For the last few months I’ve been having some lower back and neck issues. Friday morning when I woke up was the worst pain I’d felt in a long time, but I had training for work and had to go into work. A little Motrin goes a long way when you have a campus tour, [...]

The End of Summer…

Since we didn’t take a vacation this summer we decided to take Peanut to the New England Aquarium as a kind of last hurrah before our busy travel season. We left for Boston quite early, catching breakfast on the road. We opted to drive right into the city and parked in the State St. garage [...]
