Big News…

Well, for our family anyway. My husband is now the official affiliate manager for his company. He will be working directly with the president of the company, which is wonderful and exciting. He loves his job and it is so nice to finally seem him receive some recognition. He is very excited about his promotion and announced the same day that he will be taking me away in Oct. to celebrate our anniversary (which is in August) at Rhinebeck! We will be going on the Sunday. I am very excited, as this will be my first Rhinebeck experience. I plan to bring my wheel, and some projects and my Ravelry queue to find some goodies. I am excited to see the competitions and to see some shops I’ve only heard about.

There is more exciting news. I received a second interview for my positon here at the college. I have been at temporary status since my hire in Feb. and am excited and anxious to see how I fare through this process. It has kept me on my toes for sure.

Spring Forward 2nd sock

Here is my progress on the second Spring Forward Sock. I am half way through the second repeat of the leg pattern. Translated this means I have 8 rows until I start the heel. These will be done in the next 24 hours. I hope.

This weekend I will be dyeing. So if you have a color way you’re interested in please feel free to purchase a custom order from the shop or message me on ETSY. The Twilight color ways will be dyed this weekend, as will lace weight in tonal color ways and some new mohair I picked up. It is beautiful! There will also be more Toasty Sock and En Pointe.

Twilight Charm Bracelet

And finally, a few days ago I added some Twilight inspired jewelry to the shop. The photos are not the best. My point and shoot digital camera has a poor macro feature, thus the blurry pictures. I promise though, if you are a Twilight fan you will love this stuff. Promise. There will be a new camera in the future. This one was a gift from Mom & Dad for our wedding almost 5 years ago. It’s just not enough for the shop, but takes good everyday photos. :) Any suggestions for an SLR camera?

    Wahoo..great news!!!

I have a canon powershot SD1100 IS that takes amazing up close pics. Any of the recent point and shoots that have around 6-8 megapixels will do a really good job with macro but I really like the canon best. I also have a Canon Digital SLR the Xti. It is their lower range camera but it takes really good pics just the same. The only thing with an SLR is that if you want really good up close pics you need to purchase an additonal macro lens which are about 300 bucks and up.
